client Feasta
project Energy crisis conference identity
The Feasta organisation was launched in Dublin in Oct 98 to explore the economic,
cultural and environmental characteristics of a truly sustainable society.
In June 2005 Feasta held a major international conference entitled WHAT WILL
WE EAT AS THE OIL RUNS OUT? FOOD SECURITY IN AN ENERGY-SCARCE WORLD.
The conference theme was to explore how can the worlds population be fed without
the extensive use of fossil fuels in the production, processing and distribution
of food?
My solution to this tricky brief was to create an image conveying the fact that through our production of gas we are literally gambling with future food production.
